Linda’s career in Higher Education began 11 years ago teaching English as a Second Language at the University of Washington, Seattle and Green River College. She believes advising is a form of teaching and feels her teaching experience gives her a unique dual perspective when guiding and supporting students on their path to personal and professional growth and towards achieving their academic and career goals. Linda holds a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Washington, Seattle and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies (German and Biology) from the University of California, Riverside. She has a passion for study abroad and international travel and has lived and studied in Germany and Austria for nearly three years and speaks German fluently.
Linda enjoys working at Highline College because she loves guiding and mentoring such a talented and diverse population of students towards achieving their dreams. She also loves working with such a supportive and dedicated team of fellow Advisors and colleagues.
