Ms. H's interests include environmental issues, ethics, genetics, and popular culture. Her favorite genres to read and teach are dystopian literature, speculative fiction, classic literature, science-fiction, historical fiction, non-fiction, and creative prose. A self-proclaimed book nerd, she generally has a stack of books by her bedside and queued up in her Kindle at all times. In her down time, she enjoys cooking and baking, writing, and gardening. She also loves to read, write, and cuddle with her cats. Her greatest joy, however, is being in the (virtual or real) classroom, inspiring students to be better to each other and to our planet.
