My background is in plant molecular biology and genetics, and I came to Highline from a job in science communication where I made illustrations and videos for scientists to promote their work. I've been into teaching and writing about science for the public since I was in graduate school at UW in Seattle. (Did you know that you can get paid to go to grad school in STEM? Ask me how!)
