As Director of Entry Advising at Highline College. I began my higher education journey at Highline College as a first-generation college student and immigrant from Jamaica. I earned my Associate degree in Pre-Nursing from Highline College and my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Grand Canyon University. I returned to Highline nearly five years ago as the Entry Advising Program Manager and, within six months, stepped into the role of Interim Director, later becoming Director of the department. I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University, with an anticipated graduation date of June 2027, and I am completing my clinical and internship at No Stress No Stigma, a private practice. My personal and professional journey reflects my commitment to supporting first-generation students and anyone needing support to navigate barriers to higher education, and affirming that it is never too late to pursue your educational goals.
