My pronouns are she, her, ella.

I’m a first-generation Latinx graduate and a proud daughter of immigrant parents from El Salvador and Mexico. I earned my Associate's from West Valley College, a Bachelor's from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Master's in Institutional Leadership and Policy from the University of Washington, Seattle. In my role, I serve as a resource and advocate for students to succeed while they pursue their college career at Highline College. My goal is for students to understand the many academic pathways that are available to them, as well as prepare them for career readiness after college.

Before joining Highline College, I worked as an advisor at Seattle Colleges in the Promise Program and as a program coordinator for TRiO at West Valley College. Before working in higher education, I served as an advocate in the legal field of immigrant rights, focusing on removal defense in California. Having spent over 10 years working in higher education and possessing a strong advocacy and social justice background, I believe that education is an essential resource that prepares students for overall development. Therefore, I continue to advocate for our students' access to education.

When I am not working, I intentionally disconnect from technology to dedicate time to my family. For fun, my husband and I spend most of our sunny weekends hiking, walking, and kayaking with our two husky pups— Koda and Nova. During snowy seasons, I join family and friends on snowboarding trips.
