I was born and raised in Western Washington, and have only lived outside of the state for a little over a year of my life. I try to take advantage of all the outdoor activities that this region has to offer, rain or shine.

I currently teach Survey of Anthropology (ANTH& 100) and Biological Anthropology (ANTH& 205). My specialization is in primatology, which is the study of primates. I've traveled the world as a tourist to catch a glimpse of different primate species, researched gibbons in Borneo, and cared for many captive chimpanzees, some of which could use American Sign Language.
