A Highline alumni! My academic journey here at HC started as a Running Start student when it was still a Community College and not offering higher degree options- earning my AA degree in Sociology. I went on as a transfer student to the University of Hawai’i at Manoa (what I like to call my second home <3), earning my BA in Psychology and Spanish.

While K-12 has been my bread and butter for about ten years, my career endeavor has been to join the higher education community. I am thrilled to bring my background in education and center it around students’ personal goals, dreams, and pathways with a compassionate touch!

Erika’s roots are diverse and stem multiculturally. I am fascinated by the individual uniqueness we each carry, and I love learning about the pieces that make up who we are as individuals and as a collective.

While not at work, I am consistently on the hunt for glimpses of sunshine, watching and reading up on health and wellness, grooving to Latin and Gospel music. My top hobbies are travel, checking out new fitness videos, finding new grub spots, enjoying plenty of time with family and the outdoors! Have any food recommendations?
