I am a full-time faculty member in the English Language, Career, and Academic Prep (ELCAP) department, specializing in ESOL. I am also faculty-in-residence at Highline's Learning and Teaching Center (LTC).

As a teacher of English to speakers of other languages, I have had the incredible opportunity to work with students and teachers around the world. I have taught English in a variety of schools and organizations in the US, China, Costa Rica, and Brazil, and I have worked with teacher education programs in South Korea and many locations in Latin America. I have a bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of Tennessee as well as a master's degree in English and Applied Linguistics and a PhD in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Arizona.

In addition to my love for teaching, I enjoy writing, traveling, attempting to learn new languages, practicing yoga and meditation, and hiking in the mountains with my dogs.
