Part Time Faculty
I have a Bachelor’s degree from University of Washington and Master’s degree from Central Michigan University. I retired from Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) in 2002 after 32 years. I started teaching part time at Highline College in 1978 and on my retirement from DCAA, in 2002, I joined Highline accounting faculty full time. I have taught all of the accounting classes offered at Highline. I have also taught higher level accounting classes for the University of Washington extension program. For several years, I was the Highline Accounting Department Coordinator. I am a Certified Public Accountant-Retired (CPA-Retired), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA). In 2003, I was appointed to the Washington State Board of Accountancy by Governor Gary Lock. I was a member of the Washington State Board of Accountancy for 10 years. I retired as Highline tenured faculty on December 31, 2014, so I no longer have an on-campus office. Currently, I do the bookkeeping for nonprofits.
