Dr. Jones teaches courses on geography, global studies and social policy. She is currently Faculty Lead for the first Certificate Program in Housing and Homeless in WA State. A Chicago native, Dr. Jones earned her undergraduate degree in political science at Carleton College in Minnesota. She then earned a Masters in public policy at the University of Chicago and a Doctorate in geography at the University of California, Berkeley. She worked as a social worker in Chicago, and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Congo and the Dominican Republic. When she is not teaching, Dr. Jones loves knitting, reading mysteries and traveling the world.
