Mary Tu’ifua grew up in Edmonds, Washington and moved to Kent, Washington in 2016. Mary was a License Practical Nurse since 2004 in which she received her certificate at North Seattle College. Mary completed her Associates of Science in nursing at Renton College in 2019. Her goal is to obtain her Master’s Degree in Nurse management and Leadership, Specializing in Geriatric Care. She owned and operated an Adult Family Home for 5 years. Mary has worked in various Health care settings in leadership roles such as Assistant Supervisor at an Acute Care Hospital Medical Surgical Unit, Resident Care Director for Large Assisted Living Facilities, Compliance Nurse for an Adult Family Home management company, and Nurse Supervisor for Skilled Nursing.
She currently teaches the Adult Family Home Administration Continuing Education Class at Highline College in Des Moines Washington and Works at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital as Assistant Manager. Mary is the President and Care Director for Elder Village Partners AFH Nurse Consulting Company, which is an affiliate business partner of the AFH Council of Washington. Mary enjoys teaching and she wants to make a positive impact in the Adult Family Home Community through education and leadership. Caring for people has been her life mission. She works hard to develop strong relationships with her care team and her professional network. Mary can make deep connections with those she cares for whether it may be her family, friends, or her patients and their families. She is deeply spiritual, and believes that love, respect, and compassion is the most essential part of being a caregiver.
