I was born in the beautiful islands of Hawaii and grew up surrounded by the evergreen trees of Washington state. My parents brought our family's Filipino heritage with them when they immigrated to the United States years in the 70's.
My love for languages began when I spent 6 wonderful months as an exchange student in Guadalajara learning Spanish! I studied American Ethnic Studies at the University of Washington, and ten years after that, I returned to Mexico to teach English at the Universidad de Panamericana. Mexico holds a special place in my heart as my second home.
I'm a full-time faculty member at Highline College with a Master's in Education from Seattle University. Since getting my initial teaching certificate in 1998, I've enjoyed helping people learn English and technology in different learning environments.
When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me playing doubles beach volleyball, riding around on my P-51 e-bike, or relaxing at various beaches. Drop by and say hi if you see me around campus!
