Karla Perez is originally from San Francisco, CA, and moved to the Seattle area as a teen. She is proudly bilingual and fluent in Spanish, thanks to her Salvadoran mother and Guatemalan father. She pursued her education at Bellevue College, where she earned an Associates of Arts and Sciences and transfered to Seattle Pacific University. In 2021, Karla successfully graduated from SPU with a Bachelors of Art in Pre Law and Cultural Studies. Currently, she is enrolled part-time at Southern New Hampshire University, working towards a Master's in Public Health.

Prior to her time at Highline College, Karla worked as a Paralegal at an Immigration law firm for a duration of four years. While assisting immigrant communities and their families, she recognized that their needs extended beyond their immigration status. This realization fueled her desire to pursue a career where she could connect individuals with resources and support, going above and beyond to make a difference.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Karla enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new coffee establishments, indulging in reading, and watching history documentaries. Additionally, she finds it intriguing to learn about people's zodiac signs upon meeting them, although she does not claim expertise in the subject and simply finds it enjoyable.
