My name is Fred Goglia, I am the Program Director for the Respiratory Care Program at Highline college. I graduated from University of Missouri with a degree in Respiratory Therapy in 1997 and immediately moved to the Pacific Northwest. A funny part of this story is that when I moved here my spouse and I lived in a backpacking tent with our dog (in April). I really learned how to deal with the rain while living outdoors. The tricky part was getting to my job interviews without mud on my dress shoes. I began my career at Harborview Medical Center where I continue to work Per Diem today. I started teaching in 2002 and went back to school in 2007 to earn my Masters in Education from University of Washington. I have had many teaching roles, roles at the bedside and roles in leadership over the years. I found my way to Highline college in 2022 and have loved every minute of it. I value our diverse faculty team and enjoy being a part of our amazing faculty in the RC program. My personal interests include outdoor interests such as kayaking, rafting, hiking and skiing, as well as penchant for making things, especially good food. I love sharing my knowledge with others and love working with our amazing students here at Highline.
