I’m thrilled to be joining the Highline College engineering faculty full time after two years as an adjunct instructor. In that time, I’ve been inspired by the talent, creativity, and determination of our students and fellow faculty, and I’m eager to keep that momentum going. I’m also excited to strengthen the industry partnerships Highline has built with engineering companies and organizations throughout Puget Sound. I believe a strong connection to industry is one of the most valuable resources we can offer our students, helping them understand the opportunities ahead and chart a clear path toward their goals.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Arizona State University before completing my master’s in Structural Engineering, Mechanics, and Materials at the University of California, Berkeley. Over the past 16 years, I’ve worked on projects across the AEC industry, from K–12 schools and commercial buildings to residential spaces and heavy industrial facilities. My passion for integrated design, clear communication, and mentoring the next generation of engineers has shaped both my professional work and my teaching.

When I’m not walking students through free body diagrams, you’ll probably find me sailing in Puget Sound, playing complex board games, racing in Mario Kart, tending my virtual farm in Stardew Valley, or tinkering on a side project. Please feel free to introduce yourself—and be sure to stop by during office hours.
