I have been teaching at Highline since 2025, having spent 11 years at Los Medanos College in the Bay Area, CA as a biology faculty, 2 years as a science coach with California Academy of Sciences, and another 5 years as adjunct at various Bay Area community colleges. I have over 18 years of college biology teaching experience! I received my M.S. in Ecology & Systematics from San Francisco State University, where I did a hybrid graduate program in ecology and biology education research, and my B.S. in Environmental Systems from UC San Diego. I love open water swimming, synchronized swimming, eating, and camping. I'm new to the PNW, so tell me about all the best spots!
